Amit Prakash
Senior Manager (Knowledge Publications), Chandler Institute of Governance
Amit is Senior Manager (Knowledge Publications) at the Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG), the knowledge division of the Chandler Governance Group (CGG). In this role he is responsible for the end-to-end production of CIG’s major publications such as the Chandler Good Government Index report and Governance Matters magazine.
Amit has over three decades of experience in journalism, with a specialisation in economics and financial news, at leading publishers including the Times of India Group, Dow Jones Newswires, and Bloomberg News where he covered everything from politics, financial and energy markets, and macroeconomic news to monetary policy.
Prior to joining CIG, he founded FINAL WORD, an independent content and communications consultancy through which he undertook thought leadership writing, editing, and research assignments for global banks, fund managers, the International Monetary Fund, Singapore government agencies, and was a contributing editor for Forbes Asia magazine.
Amit has a BA (Honours) in Economics from Delhi University and a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University, New York. He was a Knight Bagehot Fellow in Economics and Business Journalism at Columbia University.
