South Africa NSG and CGG Discuss MOU Implementation and Public Sector Training and Development

PRETORIA (South Africa), 1 August 2024 – The Chandler Governance Group (CGG) visited the South Africa National School of Government (NSG) at its Pretoria Campus today. Building on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed earlier this year, the NSG and CGG teams discussed priority areas of collaboration and an action plan with specific initiatives.

As the central learning hub for public service in South Africa, NSG has a broad and important mandate to deliver education, training and development programmes for a wide range of public officers. Discussions between NSG and CGG have emphasised the depth of alignment between the two organisations, and CGG reaffirmed the commitment to supporting NSG’s meaningful work in building a professional, ethical and capable public service.

Following the meeting, CGG’s Chief Executive Officer Wu Wei Neng conducted a masterclass on public sector capacity building and repositioning to meet changing demands. This was followed by a productive exchange of technical expertise between the NSG and CGG teams.
