CIG Publishes Governance Matters Magazine, Sharing Practitioner Stories from Around the World
September 26, 2024

SINGAPORE, 26 September 2024 — The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) is proud to announce the launch of the fourth issue of Governance Matters, the only annual magazine sharing government practitioner tradecraft and good practices in governance from around the world. The 2024 edition delivers insights and tradecraft from more than 20 contributors hailing from six continents of the globe.
Our cover story features Botswana’s Hon Bogolo Kenewendo who shares how financial institutions and economic frameworks can be reimagined to allow countries in Africa to reach their full economic potential while recognising their material contribution to sustainable development. Hear from Brazil’s first Minister of Indigenous Peoples, Sonia Guajajara, who speaks on protecting Indigenous lands, cultures and communities, as well as CGG founder Richard F. Chandler, who writes on how good governance and the marketplace can bring prosperity to the Global South. We also report on the Chandler Good Government Index 2024 launch panel discussion between Australia’s former Prime Minister The Hon. Julia Gillard AC, Baroness Margaret Hodge, and CGG’s Kenneth Sim on future-ready governments. Other stories for the 2024 edition include topics such as scaling policies for impact, fighting cybercrime and disinformation, and how to be an effective civil servant amid complex, entangled realities.
