CGG Reaffirms Partnership with Vietnam’s MOHA, NAPA and HUHA

HANOI (Vietnam), 16 June 2022 —The Chandler Governance Group (CGG) has concluded its working visit to Vietnam from 14 – 16 June 2022. The delegation was led by Mr. Kenneth Sim, Dean of the Chandler Academy of Governance (CAG) and Deputy Executive Director of CGG.

During the visit, CGG conducted a training needs assessment workshop for central and provincial government leaders in Vietnam, in collaboration with the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA). The team also met with Mr. Truong Hai Long, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), Dr. Nguyen Dang Que, Executive Vice President of NAPA and Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Rector and Associate Professor of Hanoi University of Home Affairs (HUHA) to discuss collaborations between CGG and Vietnamese institutions.

Roundtable Discussion

CGG and NAPA collaborated to organise a roundtable discussion with about 25 Vietnamese public sector leaders across the central and local governments, to better understand the challenges they faced in their work and to map the competencies required to address these challenges. The discussion was facilitated by Mr. Kenneth Sim and Ms. Pham Thi Quynh Hoa, General Director of International Cooperation Department, NAPA. The results from the roundtable discussion will inform the design of a leadership training programme that CGG and NAPA will jointly deliver for senior Vietnamese public sector leaders later this year.
