CGG and Rwanda Governance Board Sign MoU to Strengthen Governance Cooperation

‍KIGALI, (Rwanda), 14 May 2026 – The Chandler Governance Group (CGG) and the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at establishing a structured framework for cooperation and partnership between the two institutions.

Through this partnership, CGG and RGB will work together to advance knowledge exchange, capacity building, research, policy dialogue, and the sharing of best practices in governance and public sector performance. The agreement also sets out the respective commitments of both parties in implementing joint initiatives and fostering long-term institutional cooperation.

The MoU provides a comprehensive framework for collaboration in several key areas, including:

  • Technical exchange on governance indices methodologies, including alignment opportunities between the Rwanda Governance Scorecard (RGS) and the Chandler Good Government Index (CGGI)
  • Peer review of governance assessment frameworks
  • Joint analytical workshops on governance data interpretation and application
  • Knowledge-sharing on international best practices
  • Joint research publications and policy briefs
